This Policy consists of: Booking Terms & Conditions; Check-in Policy; COVID-19 Policy; Cancellation Policy; GMI Rules; and Updating of Booking Terms and Conditions.
Please read these conditions carefully. The “Guest” acknowledges and agrees these Terms and Conditions apply and extend to any person (also referred to as “Guest”) occupying accommodation at the Geraldton Motor Inn, and/or using the facilities in the complex at the invitation of, or with the authority of the guest.
- All bookings are made with Avocet Island Pty Ltd (ABN 43 666 455 410) trading as the Geraldton Motor Inn.
- All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (inclusive of GST). Prices are per room and may be subject to change without notice at the discretion of Geraldton Motor Inn.
- Payment Types: EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa Card and American Express accepted. No Cash, Cheques or Diners Club cards accepted for accommodation bookings.
- All guests and visitors under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 21 years.
- All bookings must be paid in full two days prior to check-in to confirm your reservation* *Excludes pre-authorised reservations made by contracted and approved clients
- A minimum ‘3 Night Stay Policy’ applies over the Christmas / New Year holiday period (18th December to 3rd January)* *Policy excludes contracted clients
- Occupancy starts and finishes on the dates shown on the receipt. Occupancy is only for the number of people shown on the receipt. Extra fees apply for any additional guests (additional guests must be approved by management prior to check-in).
- The Guest authorises management to charge the credit card presented at time of booking or check-in, for any loss, damage, or monetary contribution for which any guest is liable under this Policy or otherwise. The guest will be liable for payment of charges incurred by any guest (or visitor of guest) including replacements and necessary costs for damage or loss to Geraldton Motor Inn property, facilities, equipment etc.).
- Guests may only park a vehicle in the area designated to the room, or as authorised by Management.
- Management is not liable for any damage or loss of personal property, or personal injury in which the guest may sustain while on the property.
- The guest agrees to comply with the GMI Rules (as provided on our website), and any reasonable direction by Management.
- Management may inspect guest rooms at any time with reasonable notice. If management is of the opinion there has been unlawful conduct, or a breach of the GMI Rules, no notice is required, and all guests associated with the room will be asked to leave the property, ineligible for a refund.
Check-In Policy
Upon checking in to Geraldton Motor Inn, all guests must:
- Show valid Photo ID (for registered guest name)
- Provide credit card (for registered guest name)
- Provide vehicle registration number
*Geraldton Motor Inn does not accept agency bookings/payments on behalf of a guest (e.g. government departments, social/community services) online or in person, without prior permission (via phone or email) granted by Geraldton Motor Inn or Avocet Island Pty Ltd Management.
Cancellation Policy
- Any booking cancelled within 2 days of arrival will not be eligible for a refund.
- Strictly no refunds for early departures.
- Strictly no refunds for bookings made where a Cancellation Insurance has been declined.
- Any bookings requiring cancellation due to non-compliance with Geraldton Motor Inn’s Booking Terms and Conditions or GMI Rules will be ineligible for a refund.
- Management reserves the right to relocate any booked room to an alternative location at any time and may cancel any booking at its discretion. Specific rooms cannot be guaranteed at any time.
- Cancellations for bookings made through 3rd party booking channels (such as booking.com, Visitor Centres etc.) must be cancelled using the booking channel the booking was made through. Cancellation fees will be in accordance with Geraldton Motor Inn Policy and the relevant booking channel.
- Cancellations for bookings made through contracted clients, tour and transport operators, travel agents, wholesalers and associated trade operators must be cancelled using the agent the booking was made through. Cancellation fees will be in accordance with Geraldton Motor Inn Policy and the relevant agent.
- Cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by tour and transport operators, travel agents, wholesalers, or third-party operator fees.
- It is highly recommended that individual guests take out Travel Insurance / Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking, which may cover cancellation fees.
GMI Rules
The Geraldton Motor Inn (GMI) Rules outline the rules/policy implemented by Management for the enjoyment and safety of all Geraldton Motor Inn guests, visitors, employees, and contractors. By choosing to stay at Geraldton Motor Inn, you agree to be bound by the GMI Rules and acknowledge that any breach of these Rules may result in the termination of your stay. The GMI Rules are as follows:
- The Reception Office is open 7 days – Phone: (08) 9964 4777.
- Emergencies:
– For emergencies requiring immediate assistance from Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade services at any time, phone ‘000’.
– For emergencies during business hours, please alert a staff member for assistance.
– For after-hours emergency assistance (strictly emergencies only), please find the emergency phone number displayed in the window of the Reception/Office entrance *Please note this mobile number changes regularly to access the afterhours caretaker on shift
– In the event of an emergency evacuation of the property, please meet at a nominated muster point as signposted and indicated on your site map (lower carparks facing Brand Highway). - Fire hose reels are located throughout the property for emergencies only.
- Room check out time is by 10am.
- Speed limit for all modes of transport (including e-bikes, e-scooters etc.) is strictly 8km/hour maximum to ensure the safety of all guests, customers, visitors, and staff. Please follow the traffic flow arrows on all roads throughout the property.
- Please ensure visitors park in the Main Car Park area (north of the bottle shop and tavern/bar & bistro).
- Vehicles: One vehicle parking space per room (1 car park allocated to each room number – additional cars must use the Main Car Park) *Please contact reception for larger vehicle parking allocations
- Please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am daily.
- Guests are responsible for the behaviour of their visitors while on the property.
- Guests are responsible for any damages incurred by themselves or their guests.
- Guests are responsible for keeping valuables, vehicles etc. secure at all times. Management accepts no responsibility for the theft or damage to any property brought onto the premises by any person.
- Abusive or threatening language and behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstance and may result in the immediate cancellation of your stay.
- Replacement of room keys will be charged to the guest if lost/taken.
- General household waste only to be disposed of in the bins provided.
- Parents are responsible for the conduct and supervision of their children and for their safety at all times. Traffic flow and speed limits must be adhered to.
- Geraldton Motor Inn is a SMOKE FREE VENUE therefore smoking is not permitted in accommodation, food/beverage/retail outlets, amenities, public walkways etc. indoors or outdoors across the property excluding the car parks.
- No pets permitted in guest rooms or car park areas.
- Management reserves the right to amend the GMI Rules at any time.
Updating of Booking Terms and Conditions
Avocet Island Pty Ltd trading as Geraldton Motor Inn reserves the right to update and/or alter the Booking Terms and Conditions at any time, and it is the customer or agent’s responsibility to be familiar with them. The latest Booking Terms and Conditions may be requested at any time and will supersede any previous versions.
